Chrissie Zartman Named First-Team All-America by VBall Magazine

UCLA junior libero Chrissie Zartman has been named a first-team women's collegiate All-American by VBall Magazine. She has also been invited to try out for the USA National A2 team, conducted by USA head coach Toshi Yoshida. The tryouts will take place April 8-10 in Colorado Springs, CO.
Zartman is one of two juniors on the seven-player VBall Magazine All-America first team, joining seniors Jennifer Joines (Pacific, MB), Cassie Busse (Minnesota, RS/OPP), Kele Eveland (Georgia Tech, S), Kim Willoughby (Hawaii, OH) and April Ross (USC, OH) and junior Emily Adams (USC, MB). Florida's Aury Cruz was named the Magazine's Player of the Year. VBall Magaine named its 2003 All-Americans in the 2004 Early Spring (Mar-April 2004) edition of the magazine.
The USA National A2 Team tryout will select one of the four liberos invited to the event to train with the A2 team. The squad will practice from May 18-28, at which time a team of 10 players will travel to Atlanta to compete in the Women's Open Division of the U.S. National Championship from May 29-June 1 or travel to a club tournament in eastern Russia from May 20-June 1 in lieu of the U.S. National Championship.
