No. 16 Cal in Seventh Place at ASU Thunderbird Invitational

Tempe, Arizona - After two rounds of play in the ASU Thunderbird Invitational, No. 16 California is currently in seventh place. The Golden Bears shot a 275 in round one and a 289 in round two for a total of 564 (-12). Host Arizona State dominated the tournmanent with an impressive 548 (-28).
Senior Peter Tomasulo set a course and tournament record in round one with a phenomenal 61 (-11). He followed in round two with an even par 72. After two rounds, Tomsulo is tied for second place with ASU's Kendall Critchfield; they both currently have a score of 133 (-11).
Golden Bear Senior Jesse Ruda also finished under par with a two round score of 142 (-2). Sophomore Michael Wilson shot a 144 which was good for an even par. Rounding out the Cal line-up was Jeff Hood with a 145 (+1) and Brandon Beck with a 148 (+4).
Cal heads back out to Karsten Course tomorrow morning to finish the third round of the tournament.
