Cardinal Women Finish Seventh At Pac-10 Championships

Somis, Calif. - The Stanford women' golf team shot a 309 on the final day of competition at the 2004 Pac-10 Women's Golf Championships at the Saticoy Country Club in Somis, Calif. Their three-round total of 932 gave them a seventh place finish overall. UCLA won the championship with a 902, followed by California (920), Arizona (923), Southern California (928) and Arizona State (928).
UCLA's Charlotte Mayorkas was crowned the conference individual champion, carding a two-over par 218 for the tournament. Fellow Bruin Hannah Jun took second with a 220. Arizona's Erica Blasberg was third (221) while ASU's Alissa Kuczka was fourth (224). Two golfer tied for fifth with a 225.
The Cardinal was led by Jennifer Tangtiphaiboontana's tied for seventh finish after firing an even-par 72 today (78-76-72--226). It is the second consecutive top 10 finish for the freshman. Wendra Liang, competing as an individual, tied for 12th with a 232 (82-76-74--232). Senior Kim Kouwabunpat (81-77-79) and sophomore Stephanie Lue (78-80-79) tied for 28th overall after posting a 237. Stanford's Lauren Todd tied for 39th individual with a 243 (84-80-79).
