ON TAP: The Arizona State softball team (30-21; 0-7 Pac-10) will continue on the road for the second straight week as they head to the Pacific Northwest to face No. 13 Oregon (32-11; 6-3 Pac-10) on Friday, April 23 at 2:00 p.m. The Sun Devils will then travel over to Corvallis to take on No. 16 Oregon State (36-15; 2-7 Pac-10) on Saturday, April 24 at 2:00 p.m. and on Sunday, April 25 at 1:00 p.m.

THE SERIES: The Sun Devils hold a slight 32-30 overall record against Oregon ... ASU beat the Ducks in Tempe last year, but dropped both games in Eugene ... ASU also holds the all-time series record against Oregon State with a 54-20 advantage ... ASU won three of the four games last year, winning once at the NIST Tournament and twice at home while losing in Corvallis.

DEVIL NOTES: Bre DeSanta ranks 18th in the county in strikeouts per seven innings with 9.2 ... Kristin Farber is 19th in the country in stolen bases ... both Phelan Wright and Valerie Sevilla are ranked nationally in slugging percentage at 27th (.741) and 40th (.699), respectively ... Arizona State was picked to finish sixth in the 2004 Pac-10 Preseason Coaches Poll ... the opening game against Stephen F. Austin on January 30 was the earliest opening game, dating back to at least the mid 1980's and is the earliest opening game in head coach Linda Wells 15 years ... ASU is slated to play 65 regular season games this year, making it the most in Wells' tenure ... ASU pitchers are allowing just over five hits a game and striking out nearly eight ... ASU has won 30 or more games in nine consecutive seasons ... ASU fell out of the top-25 (April 7) for the first time in five years, since the first week of the 1999 season.

CATCH ME IF YOU CAN: The Sun Devils have stolen 59 bases this year, nearly tripling their season total from all of last year (21). Additionally, ASU has only been caught 12 times (59 for 71) with Kristin Farber leading the way with 30, while 12 different players have at least one stolen base.
