OSU Takes Three Of Five Races From No. 12 Washington State

The Oregon State women's rowing program won three of five races against No. 12 Washington State and claimed two of three against No. 11 Tennessee in a three-way regatta Saturday on the Snake River.

OSU's varsity four and first and second novice eights were victorious, but the varsity eight finished third in six minutes, 35.36 seconds behind WSU (6:23.28) and Tennessee (6:27.8).

The Beavers' second varsity eight came in second with a time of 6:41.08, eight seconds behind WSU and nearly six seconds ahead of Tennessee.

The varsity four claimed a three second win over WSU in 7:26.5 and beat Tennessee by 10 seconds.

The first and second novice boats each won by two seconds.

OSU's next action is May 8 at the University of Washington.

Second varsity eight: WSU - 6:33.00, Oregon State - 6:41.08, Tenn - 6:46.8

Varsity Four: Oregon State - 7:26.5, WSU - 7:29.5, Tenn - 7:36.08, WSU (B)- 7:43.40

Novice eight: OSU - 6:46.51, WSU - 6:48.07

Second Novice eight: OSU - 7:05.49, WSU - 7.07.79, WSU (B) 7:40.24
