Another Top Two Finish for Cal at Penn Relays
April 24, 2004
Philadelphia, P.A. - Sophomore Teak Wilburn placed second at the Penn Relays high jump championships Saturday with a 7-02.25 (2.19m) mark. Wilburn won the same event at Texas Relays this season. He is Cal's freshman record holder in the high jump and was Cal's highest finisher at last year's NCAA Championships as a freshman, finishing twelfth.
Cal's 4x100 meter relay team (senior Nick Mazur, freshman Darren Woods, junior Toby Atawo, and senior Ricci Dula) did not participate in the finals for the relay, despite qualifying in the preliminaries.
Both Wilburn and the relay teams can next be seen in Berkeley for the Big Meet vs. Stanford next Saturday, May 1.
