Pritchard Named UW Gymnastics MVP

Seattle - Washington senior gymnast Emily Pritchard (Buckley) was named the squad's Most Valuable Gymnast at the Huskies' annual team banquet. Pritchard, who was the nation's top-ranked gymnast in the nation on uneven bars for 10 consecutive weeks, ended her Husky career with 40 event titles, including 21 this season. She finished second on UW's all-time list with 13 bars wins and was third on vault with 11 total victories. She won the all-around competition 10 times during her career.
This year Pritchard had UW's season-high score on vault, bars, beam and the all-around. Pritchard was also named the team's Most Improved Gymnast. She recorded three perfect 10s during the season.
Junior Molly Seaman received the team's Top Scholar Award. She owns a 3.81 grade point average and was a Pac-10 All-Academic selection during the season. Junior Carly Dockendorf was named the Huskies' Most Inspirational Gymnast. She was the only UW gymnast to reach the NCAA Championships after tying for first place on floor at the NCAA Regional Championship. Dockendorf won a total of 13 event titles during the season. She posted a pair of 10s on floor during the year.
Freshman Chelsea Bakken was named the team's Rookie of the Year. Bakken competed in every meet during the season and scored as an all-arounder six times.
