Mackenzie Leads Pac-10 Championship After Two Rounds

Tucson, AZ - Washington senior All-American Brock Mackenzie shot 9-under 135 during the first day of play to hold a four-stroke lead over the next closest competitor in the Pac-10 Championships held at The Gallery in Tucson. Play was suspended during the second-round due to darkness. The only player still on the course near Mackenizie on the leaderboard stood at 3-under with two holes to complete.

Mackenzie opened the tournament with a 5-under 67 and carded a 4-under 68 during his second round of opening-day play. Arizona's Henry Liaw and Chris Nallen and Arizona State's Chez Reavie are tied ofr second at 5-under 139. Husky senior Dan Potter is tied for ninth at 1-over 145.

The Huskies were in fourth place when play was halted at 18-over 738. Arizona and Arizona State were tied at even par 720. UCLA, which did not complete its second round, was in third place a t 12-over.

The second round of the Pac-10 Championships will take place Tuesday and the final round on Wednesday.
