Mackenzie Leads Pac-10s After First Round

Tucson, AZ - Washington senior All-American shot 5-under 67 during the first round of play to lead the Pac-10 Championship held at The Gallery in Tucson. Washington senior Dan Potter is in second place after opening the 72-hole championship with a 3-under 69. Mackenzie shot 4-under 32 during his front nine and added one additional birdie on the 17th hole.

Thanks to Mackenzie's and Potter's strong opening round score, the Huskies were in third place at 5-over 365. Arizona and Arizona State were tied for first at 3-under 357. The Pac-10 Championship scoring includes six-man teams with the best five scores counted toward the team total.

Other Husky scores included a 75 by Erik Olson and 77s by Alex Prugh, Corey Prugh and Reid Rader.

The second round of the tournament is also taking place Monday and 36-hole results will be posted this evening. The third round of the tournament will be held Tuesday and the final round on Wednesday.
