Men's Golf In Ninth After Round One At Pac-10 Championships

Marana, Ariz. - The Stanford men's golf team shot a 383 on the first day of competition at the 2004 Pacific-10 Conference Men's Golf Championships in Marana, Arizona at The Gallery at Dove Mountain. The Cardinal are currently in ninth place overall. Arizona State and Arizona led the field after both fired rounds of two-under par 357. Washington is third (365), followed by UCLA (371) and USC (378).
Washington's Brock Mackenzie leads the field with a five-under par 67. Arizona's Henry Liaw and ASU's Chez Reavie both shot a four-under par 69 and are tied for second. Wildcat Chris Nallen is a shot behind with a three-under par 70.
Cardinal Kevin Blue carded a one-over par 74 and is tied for 20th individually along with teammate Brandon Lawson. Stanford's Kyle Gentry shot a 75 and is tied for 26th while Zack Miller is tied for 46th (79). Senior Blake Mastalir is tied for 52nd (81) and Scott MacDonald is tied for 56th (83).
Teams are currently competing in the second round, however are not expected to complete the round today.
