CORVALLIS, Ore. - Brina Chaney, a senior center for the 2003-04 Oregon State University women's basketball team, has been invited to participate in the WNBA's Connecticut Sun training camp this week.

Chaney, from Bothell, WA, finished her career as Oregon State's all-time blocked shots leader and ranks fourth all-time in the Pacific-10 Conference with 208 swats. Over the course of her four seasons at OSU she started 119 career games - more than any player in school history.

Chaney finished her career with 625 rebounds for the seventh highest total ever at Oregon State, while her 260 free throws rank sixth in the Beaver record book.

The 6-5 post garnered honorable mention All-Pac-10 accolades as a senior after ranking second on Oregon State's squad in scoring (10.6 ppg.) and rebounding (5.6 rpg.).

Chaney is a three-time Pac-10 All-Academic selection.

The Sun, who finished the 2003 WNBA season with a 20-18 overall record, opens its preseason schedule on Saturday, May 8.
