No. 18 Cal Finishes in Sixth at Pac-10 Championships

Marzana, Ariz. - After three days and four rounds of golf, the 2004 Pac-10 Men's Golf Championship is complete and host Arizona has been crowned the winner with a total score of 1450 (+10). The Golden Bears were consistent throughout the tournament but were only able to reach a sixth-place finish with their 1494 (+54) score. Finishing behind the Wildcats were Arizona State (1455), UCLA (1470), Washington (1476) and Southern California (1479).

Senior J.R. Ruda was once again the leader for Cal and maintained his overall seventh place stance with his final round score of an even-par 75. Fellow senior Peter Tomasulo also managed to stay towards the top with his score of 74. Ruda and Tomasulo shot 288 and 291, respectively, to finish the tournament.

The Bears will now be on hiatus for finals but have the chance to return to the green at the NCAA Regionals being held in Portland, Oregon from May 20-22.
