Bruins Start Last Homestand of the Season, Host Arizona in Nonconfernce Play:
UCLA (25-21, 8-7) will host Arizona (23-19-1, 7-8) in a three-game nonconference series this weekend. The three games will begin an eight game homestand for the Bruins, which will be their last of the year. UCLA will host Cal State Fullerton and UC Irvine in midweek games, along with a Pac-10 series against Washington State. The Bruins will end their season with Pac-10 trips to Washington and Oregon State.

UCLA Drops Two Contests at #12 Wichita State:
The Bruins took early leads in both of their games in Wichita, Kansas, but the 12th-ranked Shockers posted late rallies to hand UCLA back-to-back losses.

On Tuesday, David Johnson notched a new career-high with seven strikeouts in 5.1 innings of work. However, Wichita State erased a 4-0 deficit, scoring six runs off the Bruin bullpen to post a 6-4 win.

In Wednesday's game, Daniel Miltenberger held the Shockers scoreless through the first 4.1 innings in his first start of the season. Wichita State would explode for 10 runs after the fourth frame to earn a 10-3 victory. Brandon Averill led UCLA with three hits on the night.
