UCLA (26-23) dropped a 9-2 non-conference contest to Arizona (25-20-1) in front of 431 fans at Jackie Robinson Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Arizona would pull away from the Bruins in the following innings, scoring two in the second and one in the third inning. In the fifth, a two-run home run from Trevor Crowe stretched the Wildcat lead to 9-2.
Ryan McCarthy would post the other UCLA run with a solo round tripper in the seventh frame.
Wes Whisler would shut down the Arizona offense in the late innings, allowing only two runs on one hit in the final four innings of action. He also struck out three batters.
The Bruins will continue their home stand on Tuesday when they host Cal State Fullerton. Game time is set for 5:00 p.m.
