Individual Bears Compete At Modesto Relays

MODESTO, Calif. - Cal throws coach Jennifer Joyce furthered her own Canadian hammer record Saturday at the Modesto Relays. Her winning throw of 218-05 (66.57m) surpassed her old mark of 217-07 (65.23m) set at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational in Berkeley on April 9.

Cal sophomore Teak Wilburn won the men's high jump with a jump of 7-02.50 (2.20m) and junior David Glasgow finished fifth in the event with a jump of 7-00.50 (2.15m).

unior Danielle Navarre made her first NCAA regional qualifying pole vault since the indoor season at Modesto Relays with a mark of 12-03.75 (3.75m). Cal junior Shannan Hawes finished third in the 100 meter dash at 12.09 seconds. Cal redshirt freshman Janeshia Adams-Ginyard finished the 400 meter hurdles in 63.06.

Cal competes at the Pac-10 Championships next weekend.
