PULLMAN, Wash. - Kyle Weaver has signed a National Letter of Intent to play men's basketball at Washington State University next fall, Cougar Head Coach Dick Bennett announced, Friday.
Weaver attended Beloit (Wis.) Memorial High School. The 6-foot-5, 180-pound guard averaged 18.1 points as a senior and led the Knights to a runner-up finish in the Big Eight Conference and an appearance in the Division I State quarterfinals.
He was named first team All-State by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel as well as first team all-conference and second team All-State by Associated Press.
'Kyle is a very welcome addition to our Cougar basketball family,' Bennett said. 'He is an extremely skilled perimeter player with the versatility to play all three positions. We look forward to him bringing that ability to the college level.'
Bennett added, 'Most importantly, Kyle is a person of character, comes from a great family, and fits in ideally with the other quality freshmen we have signed for next season.'
