Home Depot Track Meet To Feature Several Former Trojan Track Athletes

Los Angeles, Calif. - Several former USC greats will be on display this Saturday (May 22) at the Home Depot Invitational in Carson, Calif.

The meet, held at the track & field facility at CS Dominguez Hills, begins at noon and will be televised live on NBC for two hours (1-3 p.m.). In its first year in 2003, the meet drew a capacity crowd of nearly 11,000 fans. In 2004, meet organizers are expanding the facility to hold 12,000

Former USC NCAA champions Ryan Wilson (110m HH), Mark Crear (110m HH) and Jerome Davis (400m) will compete, along with All-Americans William Erese (110m HH), Andre Ammons (400m) and Aleksandra Deren (800m). Other former USC athletes competing include Kevin Elliott (800m) and Spring Harris (High Jump).

The meet also will feature track and field stars Maurice Green, Gail Devers and Marion Jones.
