Huskies Open Individual Play at NCAA Men's Tennis Championship

SEATTLE, WASH. - Washington's Alex Vlaski and Alex Slovic will compete in singles, while Vlaski and Daniel Chu will take part in doubles play as the 2004 NCAA Men's Tennis Individual Championships open Wednesday, May 26, at the University of Tulsa in Tulsa, Okla.
The first round of singles will get things underway, with Vlaski competing for the third-straight time and Slovic making his first-ever NCAA appearance. Vlaski is ranked 10th and a 9-16 seed, and is slated to face 58th-ranked Jeff Kader from William & Mary on Wednesday at 10 a.m. PT. Slovic, ranked 25th, will face 45th-ranked Eric Nyman from BYU in the first round at 11 a.m., Wednesday.
Doubles play begins Thursday with Vlaski and Chu, ranked 19th, facing the 25th-ranked Ohio State duo of Joey Atas and Jeremy Wurtzman at a time still to be determined. The NCAA Individual Championships run through Monday, May 31.
