Carlyle, Tomasulo, Wilson Earn Pac-10 All-Academic Honors

BERKELEY, Calif. - On the heels of a first team Academic All-District VIII selection, California senior Scott Carlyle garnered first team Pac-10 All-Academic honors for the 2003-04 season. Senior Peter Tomasulo received second team honors, while sophomore Michael Wilson was an honorable mention choice.
With a 3.95 GPA in civil engineering, Carlyle recently received Cal's Neufeld Scholar-Athlete Award for having the highest GPA among Cal's senior male student-athletes. Carlyle, who hails from El Dorado Hills, Calif., earned Pac-10 honorable mention honors this year and was one of five finalists for the Byron Nelson Award.
Tomasulo, a product of Long Beach, Calif., earned first team conference academic accolades as a junior and second team recognition as a sophomore. The three-time first team All-Pac-10 pick was also a Byron Nelson Award finalist.
This is the first year that Wilson, a native of Pacific Grove, Calif., was eligible for selection to the academic squad.
