Corkery And Warburg Advance To NCAA Doubles Quarterfinals

STANFORD, Calif. - The tandem of junior Sam Warburg and sophomore KC Corkery advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Doubles Championship at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The duo will face Calle Hansen and Pedro Rico of Pepperdine tomorrow for the right to advance to the semifinals.

Corkery and Warburg collected a straight sets win over Arizona's Roger Matalonga and Colin O'Grady, 7-5, 6-3, in the quarterfinals. Corkery and Warburg are just one of three seeded teams remaining in the field.

In singles action, both Corkery and Warburg fell in the quarterfinals. Warburg, the No. 8 seed, fell to Gabor Zoltan Pelva of Auburn, 6-3, 7-6 (5), while Corkery was defeated by Nicholas Monroe of North Carolina, 6-4, 6-3.
