Lindy's Names Derting Preseason All-American

PULLMAN, Wash. --- Washington State linebacker Will Derting was named to Lindy's preseason All-America second team Tuesday.

Derting racked up 86 tackles in 2003, including 12 behind the line of scrimmage with 7.5 sacks. The Okanogan, Wash., native earned first team All-Pac-10 honors and was twice named the conference's player of the week following performances against Notre Dame and Oregon State.

Lindy's All-America list, which will be featured in the publication's college football annual, included just one other Pac-10 defensive player, USC's Shaun Cody.
