Men's Golf Ties For 16th At NCAA Championships

The USC men's golf team shot a nine-over 289 on Thursday to finish with a total of 871 after 54 holes and failed to make the cut at the 2004 NCAA Men's Golf Championships held at The Cascades Golf Course.

USC ended the third round in a tie for 15th with Purdue and Georgia, but lost a playoff to Georgia to determine who would qualify in the top 15 teams for fourth round play. As a result, USC finished tied for 16th with Purdue.

The NCAAs will continue on Friday to determine the overall winner.

Individually for the Trojans, junior Ben Hayes shot 213, freshman Joshua Wooding shot 218, sophomore Taylor Wood shot 222, senior Scott Oxandaboure shot 225 and junior Nico Bollini shot 227.
