#5 UCLA Heads to NCAA Championships

The 2004 NCAA Championships, hosted by the University of Texas at Mike A. Myers Stadium, will take place Wednesday through Saturday, June 9-12. UCLA heads into the championships with the largest squads and ranked as one of the top five teams in the nation, according to the Trackwire 25.

In all, sixteen Bruins have been declared to compete at this year's championship meet. It is the largest squad in the nation vying for the 2004 team title. It is also the largest squad in school history to represent UCLA.

Of the top five teams in the nation, No. 1 Arkansas will send 13 athletes and No. 2 Auburn will send seven. No. 3 LSU will be represented by nine athletes. And, No. 4 Florida will have 14 individuals competing.
