Cassidy Krug Finishes Eighth In 3-Meter At U.S. Olympic Diving Trials

St. Peters, Mo. - Cassidy Krug finished eighth at in the 3-meter diving competition at the U.S. Olympic Diving Trials, which took place from June 7-13. Krug, who will be a sophomore at Stanford in 2004-05, scored 743.82 in the finals competition held on Saturday, June 12. She had placed 10th in the semifinal round (469.59) and eighth in the prelims (269.07), both held on Tuesday, June 8.

The top two finishers for both men (3-meter, platform, synchro 3-meter, synchro platform) and women (3-meter, platform, synchro 3-meter) earned a spot on the 2004 U.S. Olympic Diving Team.
