Women's Basketball Announces 2004-05 Schedule

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Oregon State University announced its 2004-05 women's basketball schedule on Friday. The Beavers will play 29 games leading up to the Pacific-10 Conference Tournament (Mar. 4-7), including 13 regular season games and two exhibition contests in the friendly confines of Gill Coliseum.
Oregon State opens action on Nov. 7 with an exhibition game against the Northwest Allstars. The Beavers begin the regular season campaign with a Nov. 19 date at Idaho State University and make their first appearance in Corvallis on Nov. 23 against Portland State University.
Highlighting the non-conference schedule, which includes games against six teams that advanced to the 2004 NCAA or WNIT Tournament, OSU will travel to the Paradise Jam in the US Virgin Islands as well as visit UC Santa Barbara, University of Florida, and University of South Alabama.
Non-conference opponents filling the home slate include a re-match with WNIT Champion Creighton University, Pacific and Utah Valley State.
OSU opens Pac-10 play on Dec. 27 when the Beavers host Stanford University.
Oregon State finished the 2003-04 campaign with a 17-15 overall record and reached the WNIT for the fourth consecutive season. OSU won a pair of postseason games for the first time since 1982.
The Beavers return two starters and 11 players from last year's squad.
