Robertson Fares Well at USA Junior Track & Field Championships

PULLMAN, Wash. -- Washington State University freshman Ronald 'Jaycee' Robertson, took sixth place in the 100m and seventh place in the 200m at the USA Junior Outdoor Track & Field Championships held last weekend at College Station, Texas.

Robertson ran a finals time of 10.49w seconds for sixth place in the men's 100m dash after clocking in with a time of 10.39W in the prelims. His seventh-place 200m finals time was 21.62 seconds after running a prelim race time of 21.39.

Robertson, from Tacoma, Wash., walked on the Cougar men's track team mid-season this spring and had run best times of 10.51 in the 100m dash and 21.00w in the 200m dash.

The top two placers in each event at the Junior Championships became members of the USA National Team and will compete at the IAAF World Junior Championships in Athletics in Grosetto, Italy, July 13-18, 2004.
