Dwyer Qualifies U.S. Women's Amateur

Former UCLA golfer Bridget Dwyer qualified for the 104th U.S. Women's Amateur August 9-14 at The Kahkwa Club in Erie, PA.

Dwyer posted an even par 72 on July 7 at the Pumpkin Ridge Witch's Course to finish second among the field. She advances to her fourth U.S. Women's Amateur tournament next month.

A native of Kailua, HI, Dwyer will be playing in her final amateur event in her father's hometown. Jack Dwyer grew up playing golf at The Kahkwa Club, and his family will be reuniting there for the tournament in August.

Dwyer, who will turn 24 in the fall, will turn professional following the tournament. Last December, she earned Priority Two status on the Futures Tour.
