Marcus Moore Joins Portland Summer Roster

PORTLAND, Ore. - Former Washington State men's basketball point guard Marcus Moore is among 17 players on the Portland Trail Blazers 2004 summer roster.

A native of Inglewood, Calif., Moore ranks in the Cougar top five with 4.15 assists per game (second), 168 steals (third), 423 assists (fourth), 1,458 points (fifth), 152 three-point field goals (fifth) and 3,410 minutes played (fifth). He also ranks ninth on WSU's all-time list with 344 free throws and is 10th in scoring at 14.29 points per game.

The four-year letterwinner became the 24th player in WSU history to record 1,000 points, reaching the milestone at Arizona, Jan. 9, 2003. He posted his 300th career assist at Washington, March 1, 2003 to become the sixth Cougar to reach the plateau. His 125th career steal came at USC, March 8, 2003 making him the sixth player in WSU history to achieve the mark. By reaching all three milestones, he joined Keith Morrison (1983-86) and Bennie Seltzer (1990-93) as the only Cougars with 1,000 points, 300 assists and 125 steals. Moore is one of 11 players in Pacific-10 history with 1,400 points, 400 assists and 160 steals.
