U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials Start Today

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The U.S. Olympic Trials kick off today in Sacramento, featuring several current and former Cal athletes. Those Golden Bears include Antonette Carter (200m), Chloe Jarvis (800m), Brooke Meredith (heptathlon), Teak Wilburn (high jump) and Rhuben Williams (shot put), recent graduates Deanna Slaton (400mH) and Sheni Russell (discus), and alumni Grace Upshaw (long jump), Bolota Asmerom (5000m), Kristin Heaston (shot put), Missy Vanek (heptathlon), Bevan Hart (decathlon), Travis Nutter (hammer) and Elissa Riedy (1500-5000m).

Cal Track and Field will host a reception, sponsored by class of 1964 high jumper Roger Olsen, on Wednesday, July 14 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Sacramento.
