Kim Vandenberg Advances to Finals in 200m Butterfly at Olympic Swim Trials

Sophomore Kim Vandenberg took a huge step towards achieving the Olympic Dream on Saturday at the U.S. Olympic Swim Trials after finishing fourth in the semifinals of the 200m butterfly. Vandenberg ended the day with a time of 2:11.62 and advances to the finals on Sunday's afternoon session. The sophomore finished seventh in the preliminary races with a time of 2:13.22 to advance to the semifinal race.

Senior Kristen Lewis also advanced to the semifinal race in the 200m butterfly, but failed to advanced to the finals on Sunday. Lewis swam 2:14.41 in the preliminaries to advance to the semifinals where she swam 2:16.12, finishing 12th overall.
