Heintz Trails by Three at Players Amateur

UCLA sophomore golfer Chris Heintz was three strokes behind the leader after the first round of the Players Amateur hosted at the West Course of the Belfair Golf Club in Blufton, SC.

Heintz fired a three-under par 69 and trails the leader, Andy Bare, who fired a six-under par 66.

Other UCLA players competing in the tournament include sophomore Peter Campbell and senior John Poucher, who are tied for 23rd after posting 72s. Former All-Americans Steve Conway and Roy Moon are tied for 32nd and 51st, respectively.
