USC's Team USA Players Contribute In 15-1 Win Over Canada

LOS ANGELES -- USC freshman pitcher Ian Kennedy (Huntington Beach/La Quinta HS) earned the victory while sophomore catcher Jeff Clement (Marshalltown, Iowa/Marshalltown HS) went 1-for-2 with two RBI Sunday as the United States National Team defeated Canada, 15-1, at the 2004 FISU II World University Baseball Championships in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

Kennedy went four innings, allowing one run on five hits with a walk and nine strikeouts, improving to 2-1.

Team USA defeated Korea, 4-3, on Monday to remain a perfect 3-0 and will play Mexico on Tuesday.
