Corvallis, Ore. - Individual tickets remain for three of the five Oregon State University home football games for the 2004 season. Opportunities exist to buy tickets for the Sept. 18 home opener vs. New Mexico, the Oct. 2 contest vs. California and the Nov. 6 Dad's Weekend battle with USC.

The preseason No. 1 ranked and unanimous preseason Pac-10 Conference favorite USC Trojans visit Reser Stadium for the first time since 2000. The defending national champions feature 2004 Heisman Trophy candidate quarterback Matt Leinart. The game marks only the second time USC has played in Corvallis since 1997.

The Beavers snapped the Trojans' 26-game win streak in the series the last time the two met in Corvallis, with Oregon State posting a 31-21 victory. The Beavers went on to capture the Fiesta Bowl title. Prior to the 2000 victory the last time Oregon State defeated USC was the famous 3-0 1967 game at then Parker Stadium, when the Trojans were No. 1 in the nation and would later capture the national title.

The California Golden Bears were selected second in the preseason Pac-10 media poll, the program's highest preseason selection since the conference expanded to 10 schools in 1978. The No. 15 Bears also feature an outstanding quarterback in junior Aaron Rodgers. One publication has named Rodgers the 2004 Preseason Pac-10 Player of the Year.

The New Mexico Lobos, which like Oregon State, received votes in the first ESPN/USA Today Poll travel to Corvallis for the home opener for the Beavers. The game is a rematch of the 2003 Las Vegas Bowl. The Lobos' head coach is former OSU defensive coordinator Rocky Long. Osia Lewis, the team's defensive coordinator, is a former four-year letterman linebacker and assistant coach at OSU.
