Former Men's Rower Josh Inman Helps U.S. To Third At World Championships

BANYOLES, Spain - - Former Oregon State standout rower Josh Inman and the United States National Team four with coxswain finished third recently at the world championships.Inman rowed the stroke seat for the U.S., which finished less than half a second off the pace of the victorious Italian boat. The Italians finished in six minutes, 11.53 seconds, followed in a photo finish by Canada in 6:11.55. The U.S. crossed the line a split second later in 6:11.97.Slovenia, France and Australia finished more than seven seconds back of the U.S. boat.While at OSU, Inman earned All-Pac-10 honors as a senior in 2002 along with three letters for his career.The Hillsboro, Ore., native helped the Beavers capture a best-ever fourth place finish at the IRA national championships in 2002.
