Golf Teams Sign Three More

PULLMAN, Wash. -The Washington State University men's and women's golf teams received National Letters of Intent from one junior college man and two high school women.The men's team signed Chris Collins from Lead, S.D. Collins, who is transferring from Pima Community College in Tucson, Ariz., earned second team All-Arizona Conference honors and first team all-region honors last year as a freshman with a 71.5 stroke average.The women's team added talent by signing Ami Larson and Tracy Broders who both boast very impressive competitive high school golf resumes.Larson recently graduated from Camas High School in Camas, Wash. She placed fourth in the 3A state tournament her senior season, while being named the Greater St. Helens League Player of the Year.Broders, a recent graduate of Tigard High School in Tigard, Ore., earned all-league honors each of her four varsity seasons, being named to the first team list on three occasions. She led her team to three consecutive league championships and was the league medalist her junior and senior seasons.'These players are great students, great golfers, and great kids,' said WSU golf coach Walt Williams. 'We are very excited to have them join the WSU golf teams.'
