Adams Named Pac-10 Player of the Week

Walnut Creek, Calif. - UCLA freshman forward Danesha Adams has been named the Pac-10 Women's Soccer Player of the Week for Aug. 24-30, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced Tuesday.

Adams,from Shaker Heights, Ohio, tallied eight points on the week, helping UCLA to wins over San Diego and LMU. She scored two goals in her first collegiate match, including the game winner, in a 4-0 victory over USD on Friday. She came back on Sunday to score both UCLA goals in a 2-1 win over LMU.

The Bruins (2-0-0) continue action this week, hosting UCSB on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

This is Adams' first Pac-10 Player of the Week honor and UCLA's 12th weekly honor all-time.
