Pac-10 teams have jumped out to a 26-9 (.735) record against non-conference competition... USC extended its unbeaten streak to 51 matches... At 4-0, the OREGON Ducks have exceeded their 2003 season win total of three... CALIFORNIA swept each of their first four opponents and have now won 18 consecutive in-season tournament matches... ARIZONA - Junior All-America OH Kim Glass is out with a shoulder injury and could miss the next two weeks. Arizona is considering a redshirt season for Glass... With victories at San Diego State, and against Eastern Washington at a neutral site, Arizona has equalled the number of non-conference wins it posted away from home all of last season... In the five-game loss at Hawaii, sophomore S Stephanie Butkus posted 72 assists - the seventh highest total in school history.

ARIZONA STATE - - Senior OH Natalie Harris is likely lost for the season due to a knee injury sustained in the spring. She will apply for a sixth year of eligibility... Freshman libero Sydney Donahue set the ASU Freshman record with 27 digs against New Hampshire... ASU is now 24-8 all-time in season openers and 2-0 under head coach Brad Saindon... Senior setter Giovana Melo started two of the three matches last weekend and averaged 10.60 assists per game... Sophomore outside hitter Nicole Morton recorded the first two double-doubles of her career and was named to the all-tournament team... ASU played all seven of its freshmen and eight newcomers in the tournament.

CALIFORNIA - AVCA All-American Mia Jerkov will not be returning to the Golden Bears this season. Jerkov, a native of Split, Croatia, has decided to stay home and train with the Croatian national team for next year's European Championships... The Bears have now captured 18 consecutive in-season tournament matches since the 2002 season and have won six straight tournament titles - 2002 Golden Bear Invitational, 2002 UNLV Gameworks Classic, 2002 SMU DoubleTree Invitational, 2003 Colorado State Coors Classic, 2003 Golden Bear Invitational, 2004 Houston Tournament. On Sept. 9-11, Cal will be shooting for its seventh consecutive tournament title when it hosts the 2004 Golden Bear Invitational... Junior MH Alicia Powers is hitting .325 with 38 kills (3.17 kpg) in the first four matches of the season.

OREGON - The Ducks opened the season victorious for the seventh time in eight years, defeating Southern Oregon (3-0)... At 4-0, Oregon has posted more wins than it recorded all of last season (3)... The Ducks also opened the 2002 season at 4-0... Junior OH Kelly Russell picked up 56 kills (4.00 kpg) in four matches last week... Oregon is hitting .275 through four matches.

OREGON STATE - Sophomore MB Abby Windell established a single-match school record by hitting .704 in the season-opener against Saint Louis. Windell tallied 20 kills in 27 attempts with just one error... Senior OH Allison Lawrence has collected 51 kills, averaging 4.25 kills per game in the first three matches of the season... Junior OH Karah Rhoades is hitting .359 with 41 kills (3.42 kpg) this season.

STANFORD - Senior OH Ogonna Nnamani and sophomore OH Kristin Richards have combined for 128 of the team's 196 kills - 65.3 percent of the team's total. Nnamani has tallied 62 kills (4.43 kpg) in three matches, while Richards has posted 66 kills (4.71 kpg) in three matches... Freshman S Bryn Kehoe got the starting nod for the Cardinal. In three matches, she tallied 165 assists (11.79 apg)... In the season opener, Stanford started three freshmen (Kehoe, Branci Girard, Kirsten Hornbeak) and a sophomore (Liz Suiter).

UCLA - Senior L Chrissie Zartman picked up 55 digs during the first week of action, pushing her career total to 1,411 digs. She moved into the top 10 on the Pac-10 career chart and is now sitting at ninth on the list... Senior MB Brynn Murphy opened the season by posting four consecutive matches with double-digit kill totals. For the week, she hit .376 with 47 kills (3.62 kpg)... Senior S Krystal McFarland was tabbed Most Outstanding Player of the McDonald's/Texas A&M Invitational. In three matches, she guided UCLA to a .288 attack percentage and 16.67 kills per game... Sophomore MB Nana Meriwether collected 19 blocks (1.58 bpg) for the Bruins in four matches.

USC - The top-ranked Women of Troy stretched their unbeaten streak to 51 games... Senior MB Emily Adams has 22 blocks in the last three matches, averaging 1.69 blocks per game... Senior OH Alicia Robinson posted 19 kills and a career-high 14 digs in the win over No. 9 Pepperdine... Through four matches, junior MB Bibiana Candelas is hitting . 514 with 41 kills and four errors in 72 attempts... The Women of Troy have played one five-game match and two four-game matches this season. They played one five-game match and six four-game matches during the 2003 season.

WASHINGTON - Senior All-America OH Sanja Tomasevic collected 51 kills (5.67 kpg) while hitting .450 to earn all-tournament honors at the NIU Comfort Suites & Inn Invitational... In three matches, the Huskies have hit .384, which includes a .416 clip against Invitational host Northern Illinois... In the season opener vs. Butler, Tomasevic tallied 18 kills to push her career kills total over 1,000. She currently has 1,035 career kills... Junior L Candace Lee posted 34 digs against Butler. In three matches, she's recorded 55 digs (6.11 dpg).

WASHINGTON STATE - The Cougars already have played a pair of five-game matches this season. They led the Pac-10 last season with nine, five-game matches... Sophomore MB Jennifer Todd was named all-tournament at the UNLV Classic. She posted a career-high 25 kills against San Jose State. For the season, she's collected 52 kills (4.00 kpg) and 16 blocks (1.23 bpg)... The Cougars will look to snap their four-match losing streak, but will find stiff competition waiting for them this week in No. 11 Colorardo State and No. 22 Loyola Marymount.
