Beavers Sell Out 2004 Home Schedule

Sept. 8, 2004

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Oregon State has sold out all five of its home games for the 2004 football season, OSU athletic ticket director Matt Arend announced Wednesday. The final tickets for the Sept. 18 home opener against New Mexico were bought Wednesday morning.

'It's a great demonstration of the level of support Beaver fans give their team,' OSU athletic director Bob De Carolis said of the season sellout. 'We've now sold out the last four complete seasons, and I had many people on our trip to Louisiana State tell me how impressed they were with the number of Oregon State fans (over 5,000) who traveled that distance to watch their team.'

The full houses for all five games at Reser Stadium this fall will run Oregon State's current streak of home sellouts to 28. The Beavers' string started with their 31-21 victory over eighth-ranked Southern California on Sept. 30, 2000.

Tickets - and more of them - are currently available for the 2005 football season. Reser Stadium currently has a seating capacity of 35,362, and the ongoing 'Raising Reser' expansion will boost that number to approximately 43,000 by next fall.

'We encourage all those fans who won't be able to see games in Reser Stadium this fall to make sure they'll be able to watch Oregon State's home games next season,' Arend said. 'They can contact the ticket office now and we'll be happy to help them become season ticket holders for the 2005 season.'

The OSU athletic ticket office can be phoned at 1-800-GO BEAVS or at 541-737-4455. Information on becoming a season ticket holder for next fall is also available on the official OSU athletics website at
