Three Cougars Named To LMU/Holiday Inn LAX All-Tournament Team

Los Angeles, Calif. - Washington State (3-1-1) forwards Alix Rustrum and Brooke Bemis, and midfielder, Cailan McCutchan were named to the Loyola Marymount/Holiday Inn LAX All-Tournament team Monday. The Cougars finished 2-0, beating New Mexico Friday, and Northern Colorado Sunday in tournament action.
Rustrum and McCutchan both scored in the Cougars' 2-0 win over UNM. Rustrum, WSU's leading scorer put away her second game-winning goal of the season at the 41:02 mark. McCutchan recorded her second goal this fall when she scored the insurance goal with a header from a Christie Spear free kick in the 85th minute.
Bemis scored two goals with two shots in WSU's 3-2 victory over UNC. The freshman from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho scored both goals in the first half to give the Cougars a 2-0 lead in the first 27 minutes of the match.
Host, Loyola Marymount had the most All-Tournament selections with four, while the Lobos and the Bears each had two. LMU's Kellie Schroeder was the tournament offensive MVP and Lion Jennifer Horn was the defensive MVP.
