Kim Heys Joins Washington Volleyball Team

SEATTLE--The third-ranked Washington volleyball team (6-0) has added a player to its roster for the 2004 season. Kim Heyes joins the squad after serving as the back-up setter at Salt Lake Community College last year.
Heys averaged 6.84 assists per game last season as a freshman. She played in 63 games, recorded 18 aces (0.29), 37 kills (0.59) and 82 digs (1.30). Heys also posted 37 blocks (0.59) and had a .214 hitting percentage.
Last season, SLCC finished second in the Scenic West Athletic Conference with an 8-4 record and was 24-21 overall. The team fell to the College of Southern Idaho in the finals SWAC Region 18 tournament.
Heyes is a native of Langley, British Columbia and went to high school at D.W. Poppy. She played club volleyball with Air Attack.
