The Golden Bears have lost two key senior members of last year's record-breaking squad. Sarah Huarte, the 2004 NCAA individual champion, and Anna Temple, a Berkeley product, exhausted their collegiate eligibility during the spring. Back from last year's NCAA Championships team are senior Claire Dury -- who has one semester of eligibility remaining -- and juniors Sophia Sheridan and Sofie Andersson, both of who earned honorable mention All-America honors last year.
Over the summer, Sheridan claimed the Western Amateur title in Wisconsin, and Andersson played in numerous tournaments in Europe, including with Sweden's national team. Golf World has picked the duo among the Top 50 Athletes to Watch this season.
The three returning veterans, along with sophomore Danielle Nash and freshman Jen Sanders will round out the Bears' lineup at the NCAA Fall Preview. The lowest four scores from each five-member team count toward the team total each day.
