Washington State's Hultin Named Player Of The Week

Washington State junior Katie Hultin has been named the Pac-10 Women's Soccer Player of the Week for Sept. 14-20, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Hultin, from Denver, Colo., recorded her fourth straight shutout this season in Cougars victory over No. 12 Pepperdine on Sept. 19. She made four saves in the match, bringing her season total to 22 saves. Hultin has yet to surrender a goal in 425 minutes in net. She is 3-0-1 on the season, posting wins over Denver, New Mexico, Pepperdine and a scoreless tie against then-No. 8 Tennessee

The Cougars (4-1-1 overall) travel to Utah Friday for a nonconference match up starting at 3:30 p.m.

This is Hultin's first Pac-10 Player of the Week honor and Washington State's third weekly honor all-time.
