Cardinal Women Tie For 12th At NCAA Fall Preview

Sunriver, Ore. - The Stanford women's golf team shot a final round of 299 today at the NCAA Fall Preview on the Meadows Course in Sunriver, Ore. Their three-round total of 894 (+42) tied them for 12th in the team standings. Duke took top honors after carding a six-over par 858 for the tournament. Washington was second with a 864, followed by Oklahoma State (866), Arizona State (868) and Auburn (869).

Frost again delayed the start of the Fall Preview on Wednesday morning, setting back the start of the final round by 45 minutes.

Kelly Husted fired an even-par 71 in the final round to move into a tie for 40th individually (78-74-71--223). Teammate Jennifer Tangtiphaiboontana also tied for 40th with a 223 (73-73-77). Junior Stephanie Lue was a stroke behind with a 224 (76-75-73) to tie for 48th. Sophomore golfer Lauren Todd tied for 66th after carding a 228 (76-74-78) and Wendra Liang tied for 78th (75-74-81--230).

Oklahoma State's Karin Sjodin recorded a one-stroke victory over Arizona State's Louise Stahle with a seven-under par 206. Rounding out the top individual finishers were Duke's Brittany Lang (209) and Auburn's Nicole Hage (212). Four golfers tied for fifth with a 214.
