Washington State Baseball Hosts Alumni Weekend

PULLMAN, Wash. -- The Public is invited to come out and support Washington State University Baseball during the Annual Alumni Weekend Oct. 1-3. Highlights of the weekend include Game 5 of the fall intrasquad Cougar World Series, an alumni baseball game, and a golf tournament at the University of Idaho golf course.

Festivities will begin Friday, Oct. 1 at 6:30 p.m., with Game 5 of the fall intrasquad Cougar World Series followed by a social with the coaching staff.

Alumni from odd years will play against the alumni of even years Saturday, Oct. 2, at Bailey-Brayton Field at 1 p.m. There will be a barbecue following the game.

Current WSU Baseball players will caddy the golf tournament which begins Sunday, Oct. 3 at 8:30 a.m. at the University of Idaho Golf Course. The cost to play in the tournament is $100 and includes breakfast, a Cougar sweatshirt, a WSU baseball hat, all refreshments and a barbecue following the tournament. Prizes will be awarded to the winning foursome, the player with the longest drive and the 'best ball' on a par 3 hole. There will also be a raffle and silent auction taking place after the tournament during the barbecue. Items to be auctioned off include autographed memorabilia from John Olerud, Aaron Sele, and other notable Cougar baseball alumni as well as Cougar apparel.
