Cal Baseball Announces 2005 Schedule

BERKELEY, CA - The University of California baseball program has announced its 2005 schedule. The Golden Bears will play 26 home games at Evans Diamond this spring, beginning with the season-opener versus Pacific, Tuesday, Feb. 1 at 2 p.m. at Evans Diamond. Cal home schedule also includes Pac-10 series against Washington State (Mar. 24-26), Arizona State (Apr. 8-10), USC (Apr. 22-24) and Bay Area rival Stanford May 6-8.

Prior to league play, the Bears will host series against non-conference foes UC Irvine (Feb. 4-6), Saint Mary's (Feb. 25 and Feb. 27) and UNLV (Mar. 11-13). On Sunday, Oct. 17 baseball fans will get a chance to see the 2005 Bears in action at Evans Diamond. At 11 a.m. there will be a Papa Bears Alumni Game, followed by a 1 p.m. game with an Alumni team facing the 2005 Cal squad.
