Bruins Increase Lead at Mason Rudolph Championship

UCLA's top-ranked women's golf team increased its lead to four shots at the Mason Rudolph Championship, hosted by Vanderbilt University at The Legends Club Ironhorse Course in Franklin, TN.

The Bruins posted a score of even par 288 Saturday for a 36-hole total of 577 (+1). They lead second-place Georgia (581) by four shots and third-place Duke (584) by seven shots. Texas is fourth at 689 and Missouri is fifth at 591.

Individually for the Bruins, senior Charlotte Mayorkas was in second place at 142 (-2) after posting her second straight one-under par score of 71. Junior Susie Mathews carded a 72 and was tied for third at 143 (-1), and Hannah Jun was tied for seventh at even par 144 after posting a 73. Freshman Amie Cochran was tied for 21st at 148 and teammate Vanessa Brockett was tied for 82nd at 160.

Tulane's Alison Walshe was the tournament leader at 140 (-4) after posting a pair of 70s.

Final round competition continues on Sunday.
