Pullman, Wash. - The Beavers extended their winning streak to five matches tonight over the Washington State Cougars in Pullman, Wash. The team won 3-1, losing the first game before rallying to finish in the last three. The final margins were 27-30, 30-18, 30-27, 35-33.

'We got the W, but actually looking at the box score, we weren't clicking on all cylinders tonight,' said Oregon State head coach. 'It was a struggle from the get-go. We came from behind in both games three and four, but we will take it.'

This victory raises Oregon State's record overall to 8-3, while their Pac-10 record is 2-0 - their best start since 1993.

Senior Allison Lawrence had her ninth career double-double with 19 kills and 17 digs. And freshman Nina Baltimore had a career-high night racking up 24 digs.

Karah Rhodes and Abby Windell had 14 kills each, while Amanda Eggert added another ten.

Despite 35 hitting errors, the Beavers had 75 kills to the Cougars 53, and also had a strong defensive night with 70 digs.

Setter Desma Stovall had 56 assists and also notched six digs.

Kristy Mortensen had ten assists and three service aces to lead the Beavers.

'But like I said, it's a W, we'll take it and move onto the Huskies tomorrow,' Somera said.

Kelly Rosin led Washington State with 18 kills and 11 digs.

Oregon State takes on undefeated No. 2 Washington tomorrow night in Seattle. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
