Box Score

CORVALLIS, Ore. - For the second straight night Oregon State sophomore Abby Windell led the Beavers in kills, but OSU failed to get in the win column as Arizona State recorded a 30-22, 31-29, 30-27 victory in Saturday's Paciific-10 Conference volleyball showdown.

Windell finished with 14 kills and a match-high .571 hitting percentage, but the Beavers (8-6; 2-3 Pac-10) hit a paltry .106 for the match compared to Arizona State's (7-7; 2-4 Pac-10) .306 clip.

'I feel like we had one player tonight (Abby Windell),' said OSU head coach Nancy Somera. 'Well, two players, Amanda (Eggert) played well - but we cannot beat a team with two players.'

Amanda Eggert finished with two blocks, five kills, and a .267 hitting percentage. Junior setter Kristy Mortensen chipped in a career-high 11 assists.

As a squad, the Beavers committed 30 attack errors on the night.

We played poorly,' Somera said. 'We could not put together a worse match and Arizona State did a nice job. They did what they needed to do, but we didn't have it going here.'

Three Sun Devil players recorded double figures in kills, led by Nicole Morton's 13.

Oregon State heads to the Bay Area next week to face No. 14 Stanford. The Beavers and Cardinal will meet on Friday at 7 p.m.
