Mike Patterson, Ryan Killeen Earn Honors For Performances Versus California

Senior defensive tackle Mike Patterson has been named the Walter Camp Football Foundation National Defensive Player of the Week, as well as the Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Week, for his performance against California.
Also, senior placekicker Ryan Killeen was named Pac-10 Special Teams Player of the Week for his efforts versus Cal.
Patterson led USC's defensive effort in the win over the No. 7 Golden Bears. He recorded a career-high 10 tackles, including two tackles for loss with a quarterback sack, and recovered two fumbles and forced one. Seven of his tackles were solo. The USC defense held Cal to just 17 points, well under its season average of 48.7.
Killeen connected on all three of his field goal attempts, hitting from 31, 33 and 42 yards, made both his PATs and all six of his kickoffs went for touchbacks.
