Women's Golf Leading Stanford Intercollegiate After First Round

PALO ALTO, Calif. - The Arizona State women's golf team is leading the field after the first round of the Stanford/Pepsi Intercollegiate, being held Friday-Sunday at the par 70, 5,853-yard Stanford Golf Course.
The Sun Devils shot a two-over 282 in Friday's first round and hold a two-stroke lead over Pepperdine and Washington (284). Defending NCAA champion UCLA is in fourth place (287), while Arizona (289) rounds out the top five after the first round of play.
Individually, freshman Louise Stahle and senior Erin Tone lead the Sun Devil squad and are tied for fourth after carding even-par 70s on Friday. Sophomore Tiffany Tavee and junior Alissa Kuczka are both tied for 12th after shooting one-over 71s on Friday, while sophomore Charmaine Erasmus is tied for 82nd after carding an 81 in the first round.
Pepperdine's Rachel Kyono and Washington's Paige Mackenzie are tied for first after carding three-under 67s on Friday.
The Stanford/Pepsi Intercollegiate continues on Saturday and Sunday.
